Nuclear Tiger: For Your Health!

Welcome! Bienvenue! This is Nuclear Tiger, please and thank you. Over the past while I've become increasingly aware of the toxic effects of modern social media- ever more reactionary, more opinionated, and less valuable to society in any capacity. It's making us really miserable! I've long wanted to talk about the places I go, the ideas I have, and the projects I'm working on, but social media has us chasing likes and retweets and views, which makes the whole thing feel very narcissistic to me! So this here machine is not a reaction machine. I hope you like what's on the site, but I'll never know! No metrics, no feedback, no fishing for likes. I've built Nuclear Tiger as a repudiation of social media, and as a living tribute to a past version of the internet, now idealized, which might never have actually existed outside my mind.

When my family and I moved into our current home, I wanted a space for work (I largely work from home) where I'd have enough room to accomodate all the random 'stuff' that I like to keep nearby, books, gadgets, crafts, mementos, cursed items, and so on. Thus, MEGADESK was born. Admittedly, I probably got a little carried away. But now I have a space where I can feel comfortable working on projects or pursuing my interests, and that's ultimately my goal for this site. A repository for my life and its multitudes.
